Where do I park?
Approach the display site from the East along Kamehameha Ave. You will pass by the solemn display, and then follow the signs to Visitor Parking.

Once I arrive, where do I start?
Your first stop is the Visitor Information Center which also serves as the entry to the exhibit site. From there, you’ll visit the Mobile Education Center, and then The Wall That Heals.

When can I visit The Wall That Heals?
The Wall That Heals will be on display along Hilo Bayfront from Wednesday, January 24, 2024 through Sunday, January 28, 2024. The free exhibit will be open to visitors 24 hours a day during this time period

Is there a charge to visit The Wall That Heals?
No. The Wall That Heals is a free exhibit. There is no admission fee, and visitors do not need to purchase any type of ticket to visit the site.

Are there guided tours for The Wall That Heals exhibit?
Yes. Representatives from the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund will provide educational tours from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday through Saturday; and 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Sunday. Sign up for a tour by clicking here.

Is there support for disabled visitors?
Yes. Handicapped parking is available at the Visitors Parking area, and golf carts will be used to help transport visitors up to The Wall That Heals.

Are restrooms available?
Portable restrooms will be available in the Visitors Parking area throughout the duration of the exhibit’s stay. An ADA-compliant portable restroom will also be available.

Is there a fee to perform a rubbing of a Veteran's name on The Wall That Heals? Do I need to bring any supplies?
No. There is no fee to perform a rubbing of a name on The Wall That Heals, and supplies will be provided at the display site.

Will there be any food, beverage, or other vendors set up at the event site?
No. There are no vendors permitted within the vicinity of the event site including food and beverage vendors.

Can I bring my dog or other animal to the exhibit site?
Animals are not permitted at The Wall That Heals, with the exception of officially recognized service animals.

When is Volunteer Training?
Volunteer Orientation Training will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, immediately following the playing of Taps, approximately 6:15 PM. Training will be held at the Mobile Education Center which will be located at the display site.

Is there an age restriction for Volunteers?
There is no age restriction for volunteers, however, if you are under 18 a parent, guardian, coach, teacher, etc. must be present during the shift. All volunteers will be required to sign The County of Hawai’i waiver form.here
